I am doing two big family shoots for this gorgeous, wonderful family. One on the beach, and one urban style!
There are actually 7 children in this family, however 2 are not with them on their holiday to Queensland.
This was right after a massive electrical storm in Surfers paradise!! We didn't think we would be able to shoot at all. But at 6.15 the storm broke and we had 20 mins to get these shots. luckily for us, nature turned on a sky show with colours to make your jaw drop!!
Enjoy *H*
As usual please click on the wider images to view them unpixelated - Thanks

2008 is coming to an end, and what a year it has been for me!!
I thought I'd celebrate it with a photo montage of my work.
Here are my favorite ( because of many reasons, perhaps being the 'first" , or the time i conquered a certain lighting condition, or even just a great session) two photos from each month of 2008
These are In dated order from January to december ( two per month)
Enjoy!
First time "finding the light " getting skin correctly exposed and still having lovely light in the eyes.
first ( of 36) maternity shoots! Thank you Tracey you were Blooming gorgeous!!!
First "sleepy" newborn!
First try at setting a scene outdoors and getting the light right
first sucessful portable studio session in a clients home, all the photos from this day were divine
First time with older models outdoors
First time shooting alone at a wedding
first interstate newborn
look closely at this one, first time blending images with a 20 day time frame
First Trash the dress
First time taming the mid day sun
Just cause I loved her and the entire shoot :-)
My daughters 18th birthday image
Difficult age mastered
Harsh sun, sucessful shoot
Harsh sun mastered
A lot of my firsts seemd to stem from taming our Brisbane light!! The bane a photographers life, shooting in full sun !!
Invited out a photographic mentor Andrea Joki, this is where my work REALLY started to take on a new level, she taught me SO much, I am forever grateful for her time and her company
Learning about colour
Learning different studio lighting techniques
Just cause they are both all mine :-)
just the first time I had a fun easy family and a shoot with 100% beautiful photos
First time with a willing tatto'ed daddy :-)
First time with a materity lady that said YES to anything I asked :-)
First wedding using solely off camera flash ( which i am now in love with )
Bought out another mentor from USA leah profancik, what a time we had!! An amazing lady with such inspirational advice and talent!
This is from a trash the dress session with her, using off camera flash again
My trip to new Zealand with leah, teaching photographers there.
Nailing newborns after 36 newborn shoots, I now am completely happy with how I photograph them!
One of my last sessions of the year. A happy easy fun smiley family, they had a great shoot and I loved their photos, a FANTASTIC way to end the year - I hope it is just a trailer for 2009!!!
Merry christmas everyone ~ Dont forget to leave a comment if you can!!

This is take two of our sessions with these two beautiful boys. Earlier in the week we did a studio shoot , a little more formal. This time we had some fun and got a little creative with the outdoors!
You have some amaizng shots to choose from guys, I dont envy you going through them!
Thanks again for a fun shoot, and also being SO great about your clothing choices !! it makes such a huge difference to the shots when you make the effort to dress for portraits.
Enjoy your sneak peek!

5 weeks is a tough age to photograph, they just become way to aware of the world :-)
Although we tried little miss *I* was having none of this cutesy newborn photography.
Despite the lack of sleepiness , we got some fantastic shots, and her sister little miss *A* was a doll!
She was so cute, and I just loved her relationship with her dad, it was so sweet!
Enjoy your sneak peek guys, I am slowly catching up on editing due to a computer upgrade ( my timing is brilliant huh? :))
